Los Medanos Elementary

Observer

     I saw a lot of teams rushing to set up before the fair started in order to have everything ready for the children to try their experiments. I also observed groups setting up during because they had to re-do the experiment for more children to test what they had. I saw the cooperation between team members as all were struggling together to let re-setup their tables. My teams' table was very messy because the solution that was created got all over the place and my team members all got cornstarch on ourselves.

Participants

     The children were smiling and talking to everyone around them saying how they liked it and even some of the parents tried it. A lot of the participants wanted to take the sololsquid home.

Responses

     The children were really engaged into creating the product. They said that they thought it was fun and it looked really cool. I think this night really helped them understand how awesome and interesting science can be because all they did was mix a few simple things to see the affect it creates.

Take Away

     Through this experience I had to cooperate with others in order to have our experience be successful. I would have wanted to be more prepared
